Samba Jallow ran in the 2002 parliamentary elections as a candidate for the National Reconciliation Party (NRP) in the constituency of Niamina Dankunku in the Janjanbureh Administrative Region . He was defeated by his opponent Kebba B. Nget from the APRC. In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he ran again in the same constituency. With 47.47% he could not win the constituency for himself, his rival candidate Essa Saidykhan (APRC) won this constituency.

In the 2012 parliamentary election , Jallow ran again in the same constituency. With 55.87% he was able to win the constituency this time before Kebba B. Nget (APRC). For the legislative period 2012-2017 Jallow acted as the spokesman for the minority group ( English Minority Leader ). Prior to the 2016 presidential election, Jallow served in the leadership of the 2016 Coalition , an opposition coalition that helped Adama Barrow to win the election . Jallow ran again in the Niamina Dankunku constituency in the 2017 parliamentary election . With 55.61% he was able to win the constituency before Alagie Jallow (GDC) and Essa Saidykhan (non-party).
