Sampson Gideon

Sampson Gideon (* 1699 ; † 1762 ) was a wealthy banker in London . He has been appointed financial advisor by Robert Walpole . He advocated the Jewish Law of 1753 , which was intended to counteract discrimination against Jews. After his death, his influence in the bank passed to Francis and Josoph Salvador . His daughter Elizabeth was the wife of the politician William Gage, 2nd Viscount Gage .
