Samuel (* 7. March 1972 in Turin as Samuel Umberto Romano ) is an Italian musician who primarily as the frontman of the band Subsonica became known.

Career

Together with Davide Dileo and Max Casacci, Romano founded the electro-pop group Subsonica in 1996 . After initial successes, concerts and participation in Sanremo , he also started the side project Motel Connection with DJ Pisti and bassist Pierfunk from 2000 .

It wasn't until 2016, after seven albums with Subsonica, six with Motel Connection and a series of collaborations, that the musician announced the start of his solo career. His first single releases were La risposta and Rabbia . At the Sanremo Festival 2017 he presented the song Vedrai , which reached tenth place in the final. Afterwards, Samuel's first solo album, Il codice della bellezza, was released .
