San Felipe Desert

The San Felipe Desert is an arid desert on the east side of the peninsula Baja California in the Mexican state of Baja California . The desert gets rain shadows from the surrounding mountains. Despite the drought, the desert has a diverse vegetation. Different types of Ocotillos , Adams Trees and Blue Fan Palms grow in the desert . Creosote bushes , salt bushes and elephant trees also grow in the desert . The desert is a subsidiary desert of the Baja California desert .
