Courage against right-wing violence
Courage against right-wing violence is an advertising campaign launched by Stern magazine in August 2000, in the run-up to the NPD ban proceedings (2001–2003) , to collect donations for the Amadeu Antonio Foundation .
The 1.4 million euros donated were used to support around 140 initiatives against rights. An editorial team has been operating a web portal, a partner website of netz-gegen-nazis, since 2002. According to its own statements, it provides information about right-wing extremism in Germany , shows reactions from society and reports on projects and initiatives against right-wing extremism and for democracy . The associated website wants to "introduce courageous people and successful projects " and is intended to encourage more civil courage and provide help against right-wing extremism. There is a chronicle of incidents hostile to refugees.
In 2013, projects were funded with a total of 38,000 euros in donations and funding. The projects include, on the one hand, supraregional well-known, such as the exit initiative Exit Germany , and on the other hand, many local initiatives that are locally committed against right-wing extremism, such as Rock gegen Rechts Stralsund .
In 2007 the website was awarded the Alternative Media Prize.
