Sancura BKK

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sancura BKK (formerly BKK Mittelhessen ) was a company health insurance fund based in Wetzlar . It was open nationwide to all insured persons and their family members.

history

The Sancura BKK was created on January 1, 1996 under the name BKK Mittelhessen from the merger of several company health insurance funds, some with years of tradition in Wetzlar and the surrounding area:

The BKK Mittelhessen had 50,000 members when it was founded, but was able to increase the number of members to 120,000 at the end of the day thanks to extremely low contribution rates (in some cases 11.7% in the contribution area East).

On January 1, 2001, BKK Mittelhessen took on BKK Schenck and at the same time changed its name to Sancura BKK. On April 1, 2002, the BKK LWV / Naspa was added (which in turn resulted from a merger of the company health insurance fund of the State Welfare Association of Hesse and the company health insurance fund of the Nassauische Sparkasse ).

Most recently, the Sancura BKK had 150,000 members. On January 1, 2007, the Sancura BKK became part of the Taunus BKK .
