Sandra Gianfreda

Sandra Gianfreda (born 1972 in Biel / Bienne ) is a Swiss art historian .

Life

Sandra Gianfreda was born in Biel / Bienne in 1972. She studied art history, architectural history and psychology in Bern and Rome. The subject of her dissertation, submitted in 2001, is the half-figure history picture in the Seicento . From 1998 to 2002 she worked as a research assistant at the Chair for Modern Art History in Bern. This was followed by a traineeship in the 19th century and classic modern at the Kunstmuseum Basel . She then moved to the Kunstmuseum Winterthur , where she worked as a curator until 2009 and showed various exhibitions on the art of the 20th century. From 2009 Gianfreda worked at the Museum Folkwang in Essen. Here she curated the exhibition in 2012In a rush of colors - Munch, Matisse and the Expressionists and in 2014 presented the special exhibition Monet, Gauguin, van Gogh ... Inspiration Japan . In 2015, Sandra Gianfreda moved to the Kunsthaus Zürich as a curator .
