Sandrew Metronome is a Scandinavian company that deals in film rights . It is one of the largest distribution companies in the Nordic countries . Sandrew Metronome is part of the Anders Sandrew Foundation and the Norwegian Schibsted Group. The company was founded in the 1920s by Anders Sandrew (1885–1957). In the early years, the company operated in the Stockholm area and from the 1940s nationwide.
The company operated numerous cinemas in the Nordic countries, but gave up this line of business in order to concentrate on the trade in film rights .
Sandrew Metronome has been the rights dealer for Warner Bros. films in the Nordic countries since the 1990s . The company recently acquired the rights to Focus Features .
