Sanhattan (made up of Santiago and Manhattan ) is the unofficial name of a financial district in Santiago de Chile . It is located in the east of the city and got its name because of the high density of modern office buildings.

Initially, the name was mostly used ironically, but has gained great popularity in recent years.

In 2010 it was one of the most expensive areas of Chile with average prices of 200 Unidad de Fomento (~ US $ 8,300) per square meter.
