Santa Catalina is a place in the Guasayán department of the Argentine province of Santiago del Estero . Santa Catalina is roughly halfway between the two provincial capitals Santiago del Estero and San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca . In the immediate vicinity is the Sierra de Guasayán east of the village .
