Santa Isabel (ship, 1914)

The Santa Isabel was a 5199 GRT German steamship. It was built at Bremer Vulkan (BauNr. 574). The launch took place on April 21, 1914. It was put into service on May 19, 1914.

During the First World War, the Santa Isabel arrived on August 7, 1914 with the small cruiser SMS  Dresden to serve as its auxiliary ship in the cruiser squadron . During the sea ​​battle in the Falkland Islands , it was sunk by the British cruiser HMS Bristol at 52 ° 29 ′ 30 ″  S , 57 ° 0 ′ 0 ″  W after the crew had left the ship.

The sister ships of the Santa Isabel were the Santa Ines and the Santa Clara .
