Santa Maria Madre del Redentore a Tor Bella Monaca is a Roman Catholic titular church in the Torre Angela zone , Rome. The church is dedicated to Saint Mary, Mother of the Savior . It is located in Municipio VI and is reminiscent of a tent on the outside.
history
On October 1, 1985, the parish was founded by a decree by Cardinal Vicar Ugo Poletti .
The church was designed by the architect Pierluigi Spadolini and the roof by Riccardo Morandi. It was built between 1985 and 1987. The church was elevated to the title church in 1988 by Pope John Paul II .
Pope Francis visited the Church on the afternoon of the third Sunday of Lent, March 8, 2015.
