Santiago Espel

Santiago Espel (* 1960 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine writer.

Espel already received an award from the Sociedad Argentina de Escritores for his first volume of poetry "rapé" (1988) . From 1990 to 1999 he was editor of the bilingual magazine "La Carta de Oliver" . In addition, he published other volumes of poetry. For "Misas en Harlem" he received the First Prize of the Poesía Nacional Ramón Plaza in 1993 . "La claridad meridiana" was honored with an honorable mention at the 2001 international competition Letras de oro 2000 and in 2003 was awarded the Horacio Rega Molina Medal of Honor.

In 1995, Espel's only novel "La Santa Mugre o el País de Cucaña" was published . Espel is a member of the Sociedad de los Poetas Vivos .
