The Church of Santissima Trinità di Delia or SS. Trinità di Delia (German: Most Holy Trinity) is a small church building 4 km west of Castelvetrano in Sicily .

General

The church is located in the park of the Saporito family estate west of Castelvetrano. The church can be visited. The church was built between 1140 and 1160 as a Byzantine cross-domed church. The church once belonged to a monastery.

The church looks very compact and covers an area of ​​about 10 by 10 m. The frames of the windows (so-called Qamarīya ) show the influence of Islamic art . Inside, the dome forms the center. Otherwise, a large marble sarcophagus dominates the interior. There are graves of the Saporito family under the church.
