Sarah MacDougall (born 20th century Sweden ) is a Canadian singer and songwriter with Swedish roots who currently lives in Whitehorse , Canada. She has released two CDs so far: Across the Atlantic (2009) and The Greatest Ones Alive (2011).

Career

MacDougall made her debut in 2008 with the now sold-out EP I Don't Want to Be Alone Anymore , which she had pressed for her tour of the UK. In 2009 the songwriter released the album Across the Atlantic , which contained the six songs from the EP and four new songs. The album The Greatest Ones Alive followed in 2011 . This album was recorded in Vancouver and Whitehorse with the assistance of Matt Rogers ( The Fugitives ) and Bob Hamilton ( Kim Barlow , Gordie Tentrees ) and released through Rabbit Heart Music. The album was at the Western Canadian Music Awards with the award Roots Recording of the Year Award. For the single Sometimes You Lose, Sometimes You Win MacDougall was nominated for Songwriter of the Year Award, but was defeated by Dan Magan and his post-war blues .
