Lists on the subject

The Sarampang , also Serampang , Serepang , Srepang or Toembak Serampang , is a spear and a tool from Indonesia.

description

The sarampang has a straight shaft and a two- to four-pronged blade head. The tines are round and have pyramidal, sharp points. The shaft is made of bamboo . The weapon head is not firmly connected to the stock. It is attached to the shaft with a long, thin rope . For example, if you catch a fish , the blade head comes off the shaft. Since it remains attached to the shaft with the rope, you can easily overtake the blade head and the prey and the prey cannot escape. The sarampang is used as a weapon and tool in Indonesia.
