Sascha Münnich

Sascha Münnich (* 1977 in Braunschweig ) is a German sociologist .

Life

From 2005 to 2013 he was a doctoral student at the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE), then a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG). From 2013 to 2019 he taught as a junior professor for international comparative sociology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . On October 1, 2019, he took over the chair for general sociology with a focus on sociological theory in Göttingen .

His research interests are social theory and macro-sociology, institutional theory, political sociology and social policy, economic sociology, comparative political economy and the theory and history of capitalism.
