First sentence flag from A la recherche du temps perdu: Du côté de chez Swann with handwritten notes by Marcel Proust .

The sentence flag is the preliminary version of a publication that contains the edited text and the roughly resolved image data (layout data). This should be checked by the publisher, proofreader and client, although the final layout is not yet taken into account. After the corrections have been made, the collected flag corrections are transferred to a copy in the editing department. The correction comparison based on the second sentence flag is also carried out in the editing department.
