Saud Kariri

Saud Kariri ( Arabic سعود كريري, DMG Saʿūd Karīrī ; * July 8, 1980 in Riyadh ) is a Saudi Arabian soccer player .

Kariri came from the Saudi Arabian first division club al-Qadisiya al-Chubar when he moved to the top club Al-Ittihad at the age of 24 . In his first year, the dangerous midfielder won the title in the AFC Champions League and took part in the Club World Cup. In the national championship it was only enough to third place twice.

After the disappointing performance at the 2002 World Cup, Saud Kariri was one of the players who were brought into the Saudi Arabian national soccer team for a fresh start . Since then, he has been a midfielder in the 2004 Asian Football Championship and played almost all of the games in the qualification for the 2006 Football World Cup in Germany. He was also a regular in Saudi Arabia's squad at the World Cup .
