Saufeius Trogus

Saufeius Trogus († autumn 48 AD) was a Roman knight of the early imperial period .

As the Roman historian Tacitus reports, Saufeius Trogus, like several other distinguished Romans , was executed in AD 48 as a confidante of the adultery that the Empress Valeria Messalina had committed with the young senator Gaius Silius .
