Eugen Gura junior ( January 26, 1869 in Breslau - September 13, 1944 in Bad Wiessee ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

Eugen Gura, son of Eugen Gura and older brother of Hermann Gura , decided early on to go to the stage; a successful representation of "Prometheus" by Aeschylus in Greek reinforced his decision.

He took dramatic lessons from Jocza Savits and in 1890 made his debut as "Domingo" in Don Carlos at the Riga City Theater. There he worked until 1892 and in that year, after successfully completing guest appearances, he joined the association of the Kassel court theater as "Franz Moor", "Wurm" and "Jago" (inaugural role "Gianettino" in Fiesko 1892 to 1895). Then he became a member of the court theater in Gera (1895–1899), where he made his debut as a “ perjury builder ”, then worked for two years at the Stadttheater in Halle (inaugural role “Carlos” in Clavigo ) and in 1901 was committed to the court theater in Munich for five years, as a result of a guest performance successfully completed as “Bansen” and “Mattern” ( Hannele ) (inaugural role “Hinzelmann” in the Weißen Rösl ).

Gura moved artistically moderately on the lines suggested by Dichter in his play, delighted with sure characteristics and sympathetic humor.

He worked in Munich for over 30 years. From the early to mid-1920s, he was featured in a few silent films. From 1889 he was a member of the Corps Palatia Munich .
