Saxacalli is a village on the west bank of the Essequibos about 40 kilometers south of Parika in Guyana . Saxacalli was originally an Arawak settlement. Today around 250 people live here. Tourism is Saxacalli's main livelihood, as the settlement has a well-known inland beach. The settlement cannot be reached by road and has no connection to the electricity network.
