Schöne von Wiedenbrück or Schöner von Wiedenbrück is a local apple variety from Westphalia . It was bred around 1900 by the Dürbusch tree nursery in Wiedenbrück (location: ⊙ ).
The beautiful from Wiedenbrück has a strong stature. It prefers a humus-rich location and is also suitable for cultivation on heavy, loamy soils. The tree provides early yields that later remain rich and regular. Frost is usually not a problem for the late flowering variety. It is not very susceptible to diseases, especially scabs , and animal pests.
The fruits are ready for harvest and consumption in September, they can be kept until November. The sweet-sour, aromatic pulp is loose-celled. The Schöne from Wiedenbrück is a very good cooking and economic apple , in the first weeks after the harvest it is also suitable as a table fruit.
