orchestra

The Stuttgart Student Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1990 by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture as a meeting project for schools in the greater Stuttgart area . The first conductor was Fritz Roth. The orchestra has been led by Christoph Wagner since 2016. 50 schools are now involved in the project. Only those who are suggested by their music teachers are allowed to participate. Wind instrument players have to go to a prelude. The greatest talents from the region finally gather for an annual rehearsal phase with just a few compact rehearsals on the weekend and a rehearsal week in a music academy. Great works are created in the process.
