Free travel for students
The Schülerfreifahrt is since 1971 existing power of the federal government in Austria , by the students and apprentices up to 24 years, the drive from the domestic residence to the school with public transport is promoted . Request
This service is requested by the student or the legal guardian using a form, which must be confirmed by the school, directly from the transport company or transport association whose services are to be used. The forms are usually handed out during the summer holidays so that the free journey can be used from the first day of school. A personal contribution of 19.60 euros per school year or apprenticeship year must be paid. This must be transferred with a payment slip; an identification number that must be entered on the application serves as a link to the application.
