Hopper Els
The Schüttkasten Els stands elevated north of the village of Els in the market town of Albrechtsberg an der Große Krems in the Krems-Land district in Lower Austria . The bulk box is under monument protection ( list entry ).
location
The bulk box north of the hunting lodge in the village is connected to the palace by an avenue through the fields.
architecture
The three-storey five-axis building under a hipped roof in the core from the 16th century shows a cordon band structure and a grooved eaves cornice on the facade and a uniaxial side projection on one long side. The stone blocks are partly repaired with bricks. The portal in secondary use with pilasters on the side and relief grotesques in the top with 1555 with tendril decoration with relief coats of arms and antique heads and above with a moon was transferred from the former Himberg Castle. There are two other segment arch portals with stone walls from the 17th century.
