The parish church Mariae Himmelfahrt is a baroque hall building with a south tower. It is located within the defensive wall, attached to Albrechtsberg Castle in the northeast. First mentioned in a document in 1236, it became a feudal parish under the Lords of Neidegg around 1380. The tower of the originally Gothic church was renewed in 1715. According to plans by Matthäus Munggenast, a baroque renovation began in the middle of the 18th century and was completed in 1765/70. The high and smooth fronts of the exterior building with a basket arched choir , slightly recessed crypt exit on the east side and the south-facing sacristy are pierced by lunette windows. The south tower has an onion spire and sloping retaining walls . The nave is a three- bay hall with square vaults on pillars with pilasters and four-headed entablature . In the south there is a two-bay, late Gothic chapel with ribbed vaults on consoles .
