Shift cable

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In telecommunications technology , switching cables are cables that connect technical equipment in exchanges and transmission equipment . The provisions for switching cables are contained in the DIN VDE 0813 standard. Switching cables are used, for example, in local exchanges to connect the main distribution board and switching equipment.

Special switching cables with greatly improved transmission properties in higher frequency ranges up to 32 MHz are used for xDSL technology systems between the main distributor and DSLAM . The connections between the main distributor of Deutsche Telekom and the collocation rooms of alternative network operators are also implemented.
