Treasure mirror

Treasure mirror or treasure glass , according to folklore, a tool used by medieval treasure hunters, through which hidden treasures become visible. With the earth mirror you could not only look through the rock, but also into great distances. In fact, it is probably a reminder of a device similar to today's gold pan used by the Venetians or whales prospecting for ore in the German low mountain ranges in the Middle Ages . According to another theory, the treasure mirror was a magnifying glass .
