Schenker Blinds is a store Manufacturer ( Swiss word for blinds - or blinds manufacturers ), which in Switzerland is the market leader. The company currently employs 759 people at 38 locations in Switzerland, 39 of whom are apprentices, and generates annual sales of around 183 million Swiss francs (source NH report Schenker Storen). Schenker Storen relies heavily on quality assurance and meets the requirements of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

history

Emil Schenker founded the company in 1881. The first headquarters of Schenker Storen was in Schmiedengasse in Schönenwerd . Emil Schenker produced blinds there and began series production straight away. Schenker's blinds were patented on April 9, 1895. Around 1900 the first factory was built on Schulstrasse in Schönenwerd. Thanks to strong growth even in difficult economic times, Schenker Storen AG was created . Today, Schenker Storen produces slat blinds and roller shutters at its headquarters in Schönenwerd, while fabric and sun blinds (awnings) are manufactured at the plant in Thanvillé, France. In 2011 Schenker Storen acquired the German window and sliding shutter manufacturer EHRET GmbH from Mahlberg. EHRET GmbH was founded in 1968, produces sun and weather protection systems made of aluminum and is active in Europe with over 370 employees. The product range includes folding shutters, sliding shutters and folding sliding shutters.
