A shooting ballpoint pen is a firearm that resembles a ballpoint pen . According to the Weapons Act (WaffG), Annex 2 (to Section 2 Paragraphs 2 to 4) , Weapons List, it is a prohibited weapon, as its shape is suitable for simulating another object.

Shooting pens usually have a small caliber such as B. .22 , .25 ACP , .32 ACP and may submit only one shot.

Some shooting ballpoint pens are not designed to fire regular cartridges, but rather for blank or tear gas cartridges or tracer ammunition .
