The Kirkfield Lift Lock (Kirkfield Lift Lock) is the descent structure no. 36 in the Trent-Severn waterway in the village of Kirkfield, which in the town of Kawartha Lakes in Ontario , Canada , is located.

It overcomes a height difference of 14.9 m and is located at the highest point on the waterway.

It opened in 1907 and has been in use ever since.

Like all hydraulic ship lifts , it is equipped with two interconnected troughs, in which the upper one goes down due to a higher water filling and thus hydraulically pushes the lower one upwards, which is repeated with each lifting and lowering process.

The Peterborough boat lift (descent structure No. 21) is also located in the same waterway , although it has a greater lifting height of 19.8 m. Another elevator is the Big Chute Marine Railway (descent structure No. 44), which is built as an inclined elevator with dry conveyance . The fourth elevator in this waterway, the Swift Rapids Marine Railway (descent structure No. 43), had to give way to a normal lock in 1965 .
