Ruin of the castle

The Nieder Peilau Castle ( Polish : Pałac w Piławie Dolnej ) is located in Piława Dolna ( Nieder-Peilau ) in the powiat Dzierżoniowski in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland.

history

There were several mansions in the village , of which the castle is the most remarkable in terms of architectural history. The castle goes back to a renaissance fixed house . After 1648 the building was increased and in 1718 a new castle was built on the existing walls of Siegismund von Seidlitz . Riedel came into possession of the castle in 1813 from the von Tschirschky family.

After almost all of Silesia fell to the People's Republic of Poland as a result of World War II in 1945 , the castle became the seat of a PGR . After 1995 it was left to decay and cannibalized, so that today only the outer walls are preserved.
