Schlössl in Baumgasse

The Schlössl in Baumgasse is a small Graz castle that is located in Baumgasse in the Andritz district. Its history goes back to around 1669.

history

The land on which the Schlössl was built belonged to the Karlau Castle until 1622 . The Schlössl was built around 1669 by Wolf Max Freiherr von Eibiswald. After Wolf Max's death in 1693, the estate went to a Count Schönborn, who linked it with his rule in Arnfels . In 1810 it was separated from this rule and sold to Franz Rohrbacher. After several changes of ownership, the Schlössl in 1820 went to the military Aerar . Today it is owned by the state.
