The Battle of Gestilren took place on July 17, 1210 at a location in Northern Europe that cannot be located today.

The battle was an important event in the power struggle between the families of Erik and Sverker for the Swedish royal crown. Expelled from Sweden and defeated two years earlier in the Battle of Lena , King Sverker the Younger Karlsson returned to Sweden with a Danish army in 1210 to overthrow the ruling King Erik Knutsson . The two armies met at Gestilren, which can no longer be localized today. The Danish army was defeated and Sverker the Younger Karlsson fell.

There is a church accountability book, which a village Gestilren in today's municipality of Enköping in Uppland kept for over 50 years . According to one theory, this village was later united with today's village of Gästre. Another theory is that Gestilren was located in Västergötland .
