Battle of Lutos
The Battle of Lutos took place in 794 between Muslim troops and an army from the Kingdom of Asturias .
The Moorish general Abd al-Malik led his troops to Asturias in 794 . He besieged Oviedo and took the city. The Arabs sacked Oviedo and burned it down. Alfonso II of Asturias lured the retreating enemy troops into an ambush and inflicted a serious defeat on them.
In 795 Oviedo was attacked again by Abd al-Malik.
