The sleeping car conductor is a conductor who is on duty in a sleeping car and is responsible for looking after the passengers . He combines the role of a conductor with that of a hotel employee. His tasks therefore include ticket inspection ( i.e. checking in and out of customers) as well as making beds, preparing breakfast and waking passengers. He also carries out border formalities for his customers and is generally responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the sleeping car.
