A firing pin igniter is a mechanically triggered ignition device for pyrotechnic substances. The firing pin to igniter differs from the firing pin igniter in that it is not explosive .
construction
The firing pin lighter consists essentially of a firing pin driven by a spring , which strikes a primer and thereby generates a flame.
use
By triggering the tear eye and the resulting movement of the spring preloaded firing pin on the primer z. B. ignites the fuse located in the choking area with the black powder soul .
Firing pin igniters are used for pyrotechnic sentences (e.g. fireworks or distress signals) and in explosive technology as well as for the artificial triggering of avalanches (ignition of the safety fuse) by explosives . Firing pin igniters should be vibration-proof , especially when used to artificially trigger avalanches from a helicopter (like the military versions).
Firing pin detonators are used in a variety of ways in the military sector, including for mines and torpedoes .
