Kemnade lock

The Kemnader lock between Blankenstein and Stiepel was a lock for Ruhr shipping . It was located 64.3 river kilometers before the confluence with the Rhine on the left bank of the Ruhr near Haus Kemnade . The lock was built from wood between 1776 and 1778. In 1825 it was renewed in wood construction. However , it is no longer recorded on the map of the Prussian first recording from 1840.
