Arbitration board of the legal profession

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The arbitration board of the legal profession is a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of the Consumer Dispute Settlement Act (VSBG). It mediates free of charge in property disputes between client and lawyer, but the decision must be accepted by both parties for the decision to be valid. It was set up on September 1, 2009 at the Federal Chamber of Lawyers in Berlin to supplement mediation and arbitration at the regional chamber level. The arbitration is based on the requirements of § 191f of the Federal Lawyers' Act and the company's own statutes.
