Dietersdorf Castle

Dietersdorf Castle was an old property of the long-established von Borcke family . In 1846 it came to von Knebel Doeberitz . In the 19th century, they were particularly involved in the professional interest group “Club of Farmers”, which other representatives of the Pomeranian knighthood joined only hesitantly. Today's building goes back to Constantin von Knebel Doeberitz. From 1872 Dietersdorf was owned by Artur von Knebel-Doeberitz. The present building was erected for this between 1851 and 1853. The castle burned down in 1894 , but was rebuilt unchanged.

Building

The tower of the neo-Gothic building is similar to that of Bewersdorf Castle ( Bobrowniki ). The red brick building rises above an irregular rectangular floor plan. The exposed facade is oriented to the southeast and consists of a simple, compact three-story body with a square observation tower adjoining the side facade, which is covered with a conical helmet . The main entrance on the axis is preceded by a striking arcade with sharply cut arcades. From the west side the building is designed with numerous risalites . The structure of the building is varied with numerous ancillary and auxiliary buildings.

park

The English-style landscape park dates from 1851 to 1853 and has an area of 22 hectares. On the south bank of the goat lake ( Jeziora Kozy ) opposite the manor there is a magnificent oak with a circumference of 500 cm, which is dated around 400 years. In the park there is also the dilapidated mausoleum of Knebel-Doeberitz.
