The Drauhofen Castle is north of the Drau in the place Drauhofen in the market town of Lurnfeld . The property now houses an agricultural household school.

Building description

The three-storey building of the 16./17. Century has a seven-sided tower with pyramid roof at both ends of the north-eastern main facade. The towers have sgraffito ashlar at the edges . All windows have sgraffito frames. The chamfered ground floor windows on the courtyard side date from the beginning of the 16th century. There are glazed pillar arcades on the first floor.

The former chapel in the north tower has stucco reliefs from the end of the 17th century on the ceiling depicting the evangelists , the Annunciation and coats of arms. A wooden ceiling from the 18th century has been preserved in the southern tower.
