Friedrichsdorf Castle ( Polish : Pałac w Darskowie ) is a castle in Darskowo (Friedrichsdorf), Gmina Złocieniec (Falkenburg) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship , Poland.

history

Historically, the estate belonged to the Dramburg district . The manor house was built on the walls of a previous building at the end of the 18th century by order of Christoph von Doeberitz. A garden was created with the castle. The property was devastated at the beginning of the 19th century when Napoleonic troops were stationed here during the retreat from Moscow.

In 1806 the von Knebel came into possession of the estate when Christoph von Doeberitz adopted Ludwig von Knebel. The latter then called himself Knebel Doeberitz. In 1840 his son Rudolf inherited the property and began to expand the palace and park. The classicist structure was supplemented by a two-story wing on the side. The last renovation took place in 1897 when the side wing was extended by a higher pavilion.

Building

The castle is built in the Rococo style, has two floors and some have a basement. The facade is enlivened by a three-axis central project, which is crowned by a cornice and an attic . On the north facade is a small tower with a pointed roof towering over the wings. Also in the facade is a baroque coat of arms cartouche made of sandstone with the coats of arms of the families Borek and Doeberitz. In the ballroom there is a rococo fireplace from the 18th century.
