Kälberhart Castle
The calves hard castle stands in the Castle Weiler calves Hart in the municipality of Mank in the district of Melk in Lower Austria .
history
In a document, the castle belonged to Hertel Kälberharter in 1389. The present castle is part of a castle that was abandoned after the 16th century.
architecture
The undivided two-storey cubic building under a hipped roof over a rectangular floor plan from the second half of the 16th century has a cylindrical corner tower under a conical roof and key notches above the eaves . There is a wooden porch around 1900.
On the ground floor there are groin-vaulted rooms from the second half of the 16th century. The staircase was built around 1900. The upper floor was changed around 1900. Around 1919 there were additions.
