The Kroisbach Castle , also Haignitzhof called, is a castle in the eleventh Grazer district Mariatrost .

History and design

Kroisbach Castle is located on the western slope of the Grazer Platte and in the Mariagrüntal. It was built between 1650 and 1655 by master mason Domenico Rossi for Count Abundio Inzaghi in the Baroque style. Renovations took place under the Count Galler in 1694 and in the 19th century. In 1965 the west facade was restored.

Kroisbach Castle is a rectangular building block with two floors and two inner courtyards. A single-storey wooden roof turret with an onion hood is built over to the west wing . A round arch stone portal and Biedermeier ovens from the second quarter of the 19th century in the south-eastern corner room are remarkable .
