Ledreborg Castle , previously Lejregård , is a rococo castle in Lejre / Roskilde Amt on the main Danish island of Zealand .

The castle, west of the capital Copenhagen , was built in 1739 by the Danish court marshal, Count Johan Ludvig von Holstein (-Ledreborg), as the center of the 1,500 hectare farm of the same name. Despite careful renovation, it is largely in its original Rococo state of preservation and is surrounded by an 80-hectare landscaped park, which is traversed by a deep Ice Age gully and the formal area in the immediate vicinity of the palace complex according to the old baroque design in 2006 renovated and newly laid out. Ledreborg Castle is now managed by the eighth generation of the family of the Counts of Holstein-Ledreborg.

The castle has an extensive collection of paintings from the time of the builder that can be viewed.
