Leifing Castle , also called Eberwein Castle , in the Neuhaus municipality is 300 meters from the Slovenian state border . A residence, which has probably existed since the 15th century, was first mentioned in 1571 as a ducal fiefdom belonging to the Bleiburg rule . In 1704 the castle came into the possession of Josef Jöchlinger von Jochenstein and in the middle of the 18th century it came into the possession of Count Stampfer von Walchenberg.

The core of the three-storey building with a rectangular floor plan dates from the 15th and 16th centuries. Century. In the first half of the 18th century it was expanded and renovated in the Baroque style. The castle has a high hipped roof and consists of a grooved ground floor and two floors with pilasters. In several areas of the upper floors is to 1735/1740 arising deciduous Bandlwerkstuck mounted. In the room above the entrance hall there are frescoes of the coat of arms of the Stampfer, Thurn and Mohrenschildt families. The castle is located in a park, which is adjoined by a game reserve.
