Penkendorf Castle

Penkendorf Castle ( Polish: Zamek w Pankowie ) is the ruin of a castle in Panków (Penkendorf) in the Powiat Świdnicki (Lower Silesia) (Schweidnitz district).

The castle probably dates back to the 16th century, possibly also to the 15th century. Around 1699 the facility was significantly rebuilt. The castle is laid out on an irregular square, surrounded by ramparts and moats . The western enclosure wall and the square tower date from the Gothic period, while the eastern two-storey residential building is more recent.
