history

House No. 27 (old numbering) in Thalgau is referred to as Schloss Spaur, but according to another source this is said to be house No. 112 in Thalgau.

What is meant is the "dwelling and iron hammer mill" with manor house, which was owned by Vlrich Kirchpuchler around 1400. The Tanzperger followed in 1669, from 1730 the merchant Poschinger and in 1829 Ludwig Graf von Dennhof, married to Antonia Countess von Thurn und Taxis. Josef and Anna Zeller followed in 1855, Anna von Imhof in 1871, until Philipp Graf von Spaur acquired the property in 1879 .

Spaur Castle today

Today's villa at Franz Schoosleitner Strasse 17 in Thalgau was built in 1935. It is two-story and has a double hipped roof. A small park with a pond surrounds the building.
