Schnall is part of the municipality of Lautrach . Schnall is a village and in 1987 had 68 inhabitants.

In Schnall there is a landmarked boundary stone from 1795. From the outskirts of Schnall, the Iller has been the border between the present-day states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, at that time the Kingdom of Bavaria and Württemberg, since September 20, 1812.
